I am so bad

I must apologize for being MIA for a while. I've been busy. With these people.
Aren't they cute???
It just so happens that my boys LOVE empty boxes. That should save me some major bucks next Christmas.

See the fear in Jackson's eyes? He was "tuck" behind a cabinet. He chased the kitty back there and he couldn't get himself out. Wonder why the kitten ran back there? Surely he wasn't trying to hide from sweet Jackson?

This picture is kind of silly. Trey was dancing with Kaylee and her friend. He came over close to me and I snapped this pic. He really needs a haircut. Wouldn't you kill for those eyelashes?

Jackson made his own recipe for my blog. It is one pack of strawberry yogurt, and one pack of chocolate pudding. Mix them up all over the table and all over yourself.

He wants you to have a bite!
I promise to be back real soon with some recipes for ya!

Garlic Herb Grilled Shrimp and Roasted Aspargus

Garlic Herb Grilled Shrimp and Roasted Asparagus
This is so simple, I don't know if I should be posting it.
Of course, I am anyway. I did take all the photo's and I have nothing else for you. This is a really good simple dish to make on a busy weeknight. A healthy one too.

This is all you need.
So Simple.

I have 2 1/2 pounds fresh shrimp in their shells. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic and Herb Old Bay, Sea Salt, Black Pepper, and Asparagus.

I told you it was simple.

The first thing you need to do is peel the shrimp. Leave the tails on. If you want to make it even easier on yourself, you can pay a little extra and have your fish monger peel them for you. I peel my own shrimp.

Then I put them into a WHITE collander and give them a quick rinse.

Next, put a couple tablespoons into a big bowl.

Like this.

And, it's not WHITE. Can you believe it?

Toss the shrimp all around and get them all covered in the oil.

If Old Bay is reading.............I'll take my check now.
Put a couple tablespoons of Garlic and Herb Old Bay on the shrimp.
You could certainly use ANY rub or seasoning you like. I happen to like this one.

Now give your shrimp a good toss around in that so they have a good amount of seasoning.

Skewer those babies up.

Put them onto a hot grill. I used my Jenn Air (from 1980). It works just fine. You could use a grill pan or an outdoor grill.
Seems my picture was a bit blurry. This is probably when Jackson came and found his favorite place to be. On my hip.

Grill them for about 2 minutes and give them a flip. Cook another minute or 2 just until they are no longer pink.

Throw them onto a WHITE platter on your almost WHITE counter. Or maybe that's just me? Anyway, they are ready. They are scrumptious.

For the asparagus.............
I seem to be missing a photo.
Put down about 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil onto a baking sheet.
It looks like I used 2. You want enough to roll the asparagus in.

Roll the asparagus all around in the oil.

Put a good amount of Sea Salt and Freshly Cracked Black Pepper all over the asparagus.

Throw them into an oven that has been heated to 375 degrees.
Sorry about the blurry photo.
It happens.

I cook these until I start to smell them. Usually about 6 or 7 minutes.
Pull them out of the oven.

Roasted Aspargus. It really doesn't get any simpler than that!

Put your asparagus on a WHITE plate next to your shrimp!

Mmmmm Mmmmmm Mmmmmmmm
